We had a nice weekend. Friday night we took the girls to Costco and then ordered Thai food and watched the craptors, I mean Raptors, game once they were in bed. It drives John nuts when I call them the craptors. I’m only joking - I mean I still watch most games with him so I can’t think they’re that bad. Our new mantra is every loss is one step closer to more balls in the draft pick lottery draw.
Saturday night we were supposed to have dinner with our university friends at Coby and Carrie’s house but Ronan got sick so we had everyone here instead. We had Alicia, Jeff and Amelia, and Liv, Scott, Emma, Brady and Conner. Sean and Sylvia dropped in for a bit before leaving for dinner plans(and swearing they would never have children I’m sure!). We were even numbers with the kids which was good because it really was something to see. Liv’s Emma is 3, the girls are 19 months, Brady and Conner are 10 months and Amelia is 9 months. Needless to say we didn’t even attempt to eat at the table. It was fun to see the kids crawling, dancing and running all over the place. Alicia posted lots of pictures. Here’s one I took that I find amusing. Liv and Scott with 6 kids - can you find them all!
Yesterday I had book club. We used to do it on the last Monday of every month but we’ve moved it to Sunday afternoons. Bev made us all brunch and then we played Scene It. Not having seen more than a handful of movies (rented and in the theatre) in the past 3 years I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t know anything but it was actually pretty fun. That’s high praise from someone who traditionally can’t stand board games although I think the interactive DVD part was what sold me.
Today the girls woke up sneezing. By late afternoon we had snot city. By bedtime we had the famous snot bombs. Leah seems to have forgot how much she loved ramdomly blowing her nose (fingers crossed!). Every episode of sleep hell we have had has started off with them getting a cold. We’ve had TEN nights in a row now…I wonder how long this streak can last.
