The girls have slept through all night, every night since my cyber threat to split them up. Now forget you read that so we don’t get jinxed!
The week has flown by and in a few hours John will be home and it will be the long weekend. We don’t really have too much planned but we are FINALLY going to check out the pool at Bronte Creek on Saturday. I guess because of the terrible weather last year they delayed the opening until July 1st…and then of course we’ve had 13 days of over 30C this month. John promised me we’d go Saturday. It better be hot. I drove over there today with the girls to just look at the pool and it is enormous. I’ll have to get a good picture.
I forgot the diaper bag at home for the first time today. It’s such a production getting them both in the car in this heat and I was racing to get the A/C on in the car and forgot about my last trip into the house to grab it. I had planned to go for a nice walk in Bronte Park after checking out the pool but it was way too hot and I didn’t have their hats or their water. So we went to Walmart where it was nice and cool.
I forgot to mention that on Monday my friend from high school Sheelagh and her husband Shawn stopped in for a visit. They live in Arizona and I hadn’t seen them since their wedding two years ago. It was really nice to see them. Monday night I hosted book club. I picked the book Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin. We all loved it. It’s about a girl that steals her best friend’s fiance - just in case any of you go out and buy it thinking we’re into deep, meaningful, thought provoking novels…
Not much else to report. I met Alicia and Amelia at Square One yesterday and I searched for some Canada Day shirts for the girls. Old Navy was all sold out so I ended up getting them in the Gap. They match…but hey it’s Canada Day.
Oh I nearly forgot. They poured the sidewalks on our street. One step closer to grass!!!
