Emma rolled over again and this time I got there in time to see it! The look on her face when she did it was priceless.
While having twins is more fun than either of us could have imagined, John and I are both very conscious of trying not to compare the girls. I say that and of course the minute Emma starts rolling I look at Leah who is so happy and content that she is nowhere near rolling. I have to stop! We have to master it now before the girls grow up and feel like it’s a competition. I want them to be best friends and proud of each others accomplishments. I know it is silly for me to think of these things now when they are only 4 months but I spend alot of my time thinking about what it will be like for them to grow up together.

It’s hard to believe it’s October already. We’ve had such nice weather lately that it still feels like summer. I think fall is my favourite season although I say that at the beginning of every season. Everytime John brings up the option of us moving somewhere hot and sunny I remind him of how much I love seasons. I think it gets on his nerves - especially in February!
The girls had alot of visitors last week. My parent stopped in on the way back from their RV trip and my friend from high school Katy and her husband Akash dropped in on Friday.
We are on the road for the next three weekends so we were busy this weekend. We made our weekly trip to the design center - we keep changing our minds.
The girls are doing well. When Leah wakes up she no longer cries - she is content to lay in the crib and coo away. I usually bring her into bed with us because she can get pretty loud and usually ends up waking Emma who will cry.
Emma was a bit fussy when we got home this afternoon so John put her on her tummy (it always calms her down). Next thing I hear is John yelling that she rolled over onto her back. The little bugger did it when I wasn’t there! He put her back on her belly and we both waited in anticipation - of course she wouldn’t do it again. It was pretty exciting to see one of them rollover though. I think it will still be awhile before she does it consistently.
